Hi! How are you? Happy Thursday, how was your Halloween? Are you ready for Thanksgiving? When do you put up your Christmas tree? I’m a before-Thanksgiving-kind-of-gal. It’s been a hectic world over here between friends in town, getting sick and more and so I just want to say: I‘M SO SORRY!! I have neglected you; but don’t worry, I have put in time working on what I think are some cool posts and attending really awesome Women Inclusion events. Between all of that, I have a lot of notes to put together!
But, as I said; work has been insane. Software development work is brand new to me and I’m on the struggle bus now and then because my brain wants to lean towards the creative and communication side of things. That is why I’m so thankful for my little side hustle outlets of the blog and Podcast Rewind. But, can I tell you a secret? I’ve loved watching YouTube creators lately. Not only is watching a makeup tutorial video so mindless and effortless to watch when I’m feeling stressed to the max, but I’m so in awe of this medium. Honestly, it can be really entertaining watching someone do an “unboxing” episode where they show the different product PR companies sent them. (Um, happy to accept gifts PR companies if you’re reading this!!) I kid you not, once, I got into a YouTube vortex watching this girl dumpster dive. NO. JOKE. Apparently, it’s not illegal and she was dumpster diving at an Ulta and then repurposing the makeup. To say I couldn’t look away was an understatement.
However, the number one reason I watch these videos is that these vloggers (video bloggers) have THE BEST music. Seriously, go check out a vlogger and notice how cool their background music is, or their intro music. I began to obsessively Google the music and try to track down these artists bc I just knew that these tunes would be the perfect music to listen to while I work! There’s generally never any words, it’s like a chill beat that isn’t too distracting so these Vloggers can talk over the music and be heard. I was able to track a few artists down and then go from there. Spotify has an amazing feature where they will automatically recommend other songs/artists that are similar to the music you are listening to. And from there: BAM…my latest playlist was born.
Whether you are just cleaning your apartment, driving to work or writing up your latest blog post this playlist is SURE to help you with some chill vibes, productivity and an easy-going energy that will allow you to crush whatever obstacle is in your way! So light a candle, or maybe some sage, sit back relax and hit play…warning: you may want to start your OWN YouTube channel when this playlist is done!
P.S. Should I start a vlog? Drop me a comment below and let me know what you would want to see!!

What a unique way to find new music! I tend to log into Pandora when I’m working and need some background noise. This playlist might be my new go-to.

I use a couple of songs in my videos that are free to use. Every now and then I make a music video and such but I’ve seen some of these videos with the songs you have on your playlist. These songs are great when you’re talking in your video and just want some background music playing 🙂

I remember watching Michelle Phan and loving the music she used. She always highlighted such interesting artists. YT is a great place for musical inspiration.
