Hi, loves! Happy 2019, how was your holiday? Did you get everything that you wanted from Santa? Did you drink all of the drinks,
So we’re just two weeks in but how are you feeling about your resolutions, did you make any? I, of course, want to commit to a healthier lifestyle and am doing “Sober January Lite (aka, only drinking on dates! hehe) as well as attending one event here in Orlando a month, whether at a local brewery, a concert or a farmers market! Whatever resolutions you made, I hope they are SMART.
What is SMART you say? Well, let me impart a little bit of business wisdom on ya! This methodology is often used in project management and my team and I often refer to this concept. When working on tasks, and or creating lofty expectations for ourselves it’s important to ensure that what we are doing is:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Realistic
- Timely
Basically, instead of saying that I want to eat healthily I would say that “For 2 months I will eat X amount of calories a day while working out 3x’s a week.” These are both very specific, easy to measure with an app such as My Fitness Pal or the Fitbit app. I can easily attain these goals as they are not too lofty and are
What do these SMART tasks have to do with a playlist you may be asking yourself. Well, it’s simple…I want to listen to music, at least one hour a day, as I find that singing the shower, or in the car brings me some serious happiness and I don’t care who is judging my sweet moves or my vocal stylings. You see, the only reason music matters
This year Spotify provided those of us who stream their service a playlist of our top music of the year and so I figured, I love these songs…why stop listening to them? Also, why not share with you all some of my most streamed jams of 2019. I don’t know if they’re smart but I know that they make me stupidly happy. But it’s a new year, and it’s the same damn music!
