My Revamped Playlist: Birthday Jamz

I woke up today, on my 35th (ouch) birthday with “On the way down” by Ryan Cabrera stuck in my head. I knew that this would NOT do as the soundtrack of my birthday morning. Also, what brought this song to life in my head? Was I dreaming of the good ol‘ days watching Ryan and his hair date Ashlee Simpson on her ill-fated MTV reality show? Regardless, I hit up my Google Home and got to work and by work, a morning dance sesh as I got ready for the day.

There’s something about a birthday that makes us feel warm and cozy as friends, family, and coworkers wish us a great day and another year around the sun. I have the fortune of inviting 90 of my closest coworkers to a two-day work session at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s not an ideal way to celebrate my day, but hey, free lunch!

Just a side note, I LOVE working at our resorts. There is something about the relaxed vibes our Guests have when they are spending the day lounging by the pool, with an early afternoon beverage and grabbing a bite to eat. It really permeates into your own vibe for the day.

One of my coworkers sweetly presented me with a cupcake to celebrate today knowing we would be deep into our work. Things like these can up your brand and reputation in the workplace…I’ll scream it from the rooftop for the kids in the back: POSITIVE GOSSIP!

But just because it’s my birthday doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve it a little gift, too. Remember how I mentioned I told Google to play me some music this morning to start the b-day? Well that smart little AI played my ‘Songs I’m feeling rn’ playlist and so I wanted to share that with you. None of these songs make sense as a whole, like this isn’t the time I shared my Penn State #TBT playlist or my favorite country jams. These are just the songs I’m feeling, loving, singing and most certainly performing some serious car choreography, too.
