Haul out the holly, we’re just a few short months away from Christmas, and I couldn’t be more excited! I think we can all agree there was a lack of corporate holiday cheer in the air last year as many of us continued working from home.
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love the holidays at work. Sure, for the last 14 years, work was at the Walt Disney World Resort, but they decorated some of our offices backstage, and I have to say it was pretty magical. For me, there’s just excitement in the air during meetings and around the coffee machine as everyone talks about their holiday plans, or you sneak a gift to your favorite coworker when no one is looking!
Right now, my team is starting to talk about going back to the office now that we are all vaccinated, and we are chomping at the bit to see each other more frequently. Though, please let it be known I’m all about a hybrid work week (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).
Recently I was appointed to be our team’s recognition committee chair, and are we even surprised? I’m having so much fun helping celebrate birthdays and milestones with the crew in fun and innovative ways. But, as we think about the holidays ahead, I have one idea that I think will really take us to the next level: A team holiday card.
You know that networking is one of the most important parts of our career, and it’s more important than ever to keep up a relationship with our partners and create valuable relationships in the workplace. So, when I was daydreaming of fun ways to celebrate the upcoming holiday at work, I immediately thought of a team holiday card!
Whether you are a small business and you want to thank your customers for a great year, or you’re like my team, and you work with a lot of external vendors, a corporate Christmas card is a great way to say ‘Cheers to the holiday’ and ‘Thanks for a great year’!
One of my favorite websites to pick out and plan my invites/cards is Basic Invite. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that provide an easy-breezy experience that allows you to create a custom card that is uniquely you or your team!
‘Almost’ Unlimited Color Options
With over 180 colors to choose from when designing your card. You can expect to make a holiday card that will really have your team standing out in the office. Or, if you’re a smaller business you may be able to even match your card’s colors to your company logo. Talk about staying on brand!
Custom Samples
Since part of my job has me responsible for all things project management and communication, I really love the custom samples that Basic Invite provides their customers. Being able to receive a printed sample before placing the final order, seeing the quality of the paper, and making sure the card is perfect is really clutch! And if your leader is wavering on the idea of a team card having a sample on hand during the pitch is sure to seal the deal. Who can say no to a beautiful card with a matching envelope?
Address Capturing Service
What can be so helpful, especially for any team, is Basic Invite’s address capturing service. With a sharable link on Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media you can request addresses from your friends, family, and colleagues. Now you’ll have no excuse to miss a single person’s address.
The best part of prepping your holiday cards in advance is that right now Basic Invite is offering customers 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51. And of course, if sending out a card from you and the team at the office is not right for you, Basic Invite also has some really gorgeous holiday photo cards and photo Christmas cards for you and your family!
I officially think that stationery, pens, and the like are just a cross-generational obsession no matter our age. Remember the thrill of back-to-school shopping? It’s been replaced with holiday cards and personalized stationery!
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to spend a few hours at Basic Invite trying to figure out which holiday card will match perfectly with the team!
