One of my favorite people on earth, my friend Ashleigh, has been a huge advocate of drinking water at any and all times of the day. In fact, she coined the ABH to the ABC (Always Be Closing) and when in doubt that girl can be found with a fridge full of La Croix and some kind of water bottle in her hand.
It is no surprise that all Drs out there recommend you get a sh!t ton of water in your body a day, but when you’re at the office it’s even more important. You are working it hard, whether it be in the boardroom to working on your latest flyer for an upcoming event…staying hydrated while we work keeps our brain firing on all cylinders. As well as the nice added benefit of a hydrated body boosts skin health and beauty. Is there anything worse than finding a pimple just a day before a big meeting? NOPE.
Most offices these days are going green so you are pretty much on your own for your own water bottle/cup/mug, etc. I have two different offices that I can sit at during the week so I like to make sure that both of these locations have the essentials: Phone Cords, Head Phones and a Water Bottle. I think a chic water bottle can be your calling card to your brand. Are you a fitness junkie on the weekend? Let it be known with the old sports standby: the Nalgene bottle. Are you always sporting at least one Lilly Pulitzer item a day? Then you need to hit up their collab with S’Well!
Another great thing that doctors won’t tell you, is the networking and connections you can make in the office when you’re getting up every hour to refill your water. You may run into the hiring manager of a job you just posted for and can get some well-needed face time. You may even hear about some co-worker’s happy hour plans and get an invite! Water has so many benefits it’s no wonder we can’t go more than a few days
No matter the style, the brand or more…make sure you are ALWAYS hydrating, but by all means, there is no reason you can’t do it style. Here are just some of my favorite ones out there!
